Support for Procurement Processes

Technical monitoring of procurement processes with a focus on rail vehicles, special vehicles and vehicle subsystems
Support in supplier selection for critical issues such as procurement delays, failure replacement of relevant components or obsolescence
Continuous support and monitoring of technical aspects in procurement projects
Quality monitoring of suppliers in the ongoing development process, participation in manufacturer meetings for direct quality assurance and problem solving
Monitoring and evaluation of critical development packages such as software quality and test results
Regular reporting to the rail operator's technical purchasing department, providing status reports and recommendations for decision making.
Supporting and performing tests such as First Article Inspection (FAI), type tests, prototype tests, validation and acceptance tests.

Requirements Management

Perform detailed technical requirements analysis, ensuring completeness and consistency of requirements.
Creating and revising detailed requirements specifications for technical products and development projects
Develop technical specifications for vehicle and subsystem procurements and infrastructure projects.
Revision management for requirements, specifications or relevant documents
Supervision of vehicle procurement processes: Providing support and guidance to railway operators throughout the procurement process
Interface management between railway operators, suppliers, evaluation centers and authorities
Ensuring traceability of requirements in the development process

Troubleshooting in Critical Procurement Processes

Identification and management of deadlines and delays in procurement projects
Analysing and resolving technical issues during the procurement process, dealing with non-compliance with the rail operator's requirements
Analysing technical weaknesses with the supplier (typically in the areas of software development, IT security, safety, approval or production)
Analysing non-technical project risks at the supplier (subcontractors, project partners, material shortages, shortages of skilled workers, etc.)
Carrying out risk assessments during the course of the project, developing risk management strategies to minimise project and supplier risks
Assist the railway operator in upgrading the supplier to meet the requirements and objectives of the project
Analyse and evaluate the need for supplier change or project cancellation
